Hi everybody - I hope your summer's are all going well. Thanks for subscribing to my Jordan Reads Books newsletter.

I'm going to be late putting out my "Books I Read in June" post, because next week I'll be at the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada (ora pro ya girl, not least because she allowed herself to be persuaded to be nominated for a big(ish) elected office), and then Derek and I will be taking some wedding anniversary related vacation time. But it's coming! I haven't forgotten.

Books I Read in September

1. Royal Gambit by Daniel O’Malley – O’Malley’s great tragedy is that in his first novel he created Myfanwy Thomas, one of the greatest characters ever written. He keeps writing sequels, set in the same world, featuring Strong Female Leads, who are fine but they aren’t Myfanwy
